  • President’s Message to students who cannot enter Japan

    03 19, 2020

    Dear Freshmen,

Congratulations on passing the entrance examination.
I am Kyosuke Nagata, President of the University of Tsukuba.

Some of the students are worried about not being able to come to Japan in April. Students who have completed the admission procedures will be considered as enrolled of the University of Tsukuba even if you cannot come to Japan in April. Please rest assured. From now on, depending on how long the new coronavirus infection will last, the University of Tsukuba is considering countermeasures to minimize the risk and disadvantages to all students. We will inform you again after the decision has made. Please be patient to wait and your understanding is greatly appreciated.

In addition, please be sure to contact the corresponding academic service office if there is any modification of the contact information in the admission procedure documents.

Lots of current students have been in touch with supervisors and the corresponding academic service office. If you are unable to come to Japan or have not contacted them yet, please contact supervisors and the corresponding academic service office as soon as possible.
Regard studying with special measures, we are trying our best to adopt relevant countermeasures applicable to all students.
