    Outline

    The School of Medicine and Medical Sciences consists of three schools: the School of Medicine, the School of Nursing, and the School of Medical Sciences. All three schools aim to foster talented human resources capable of contributing to the world through prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of human diseases, and through nursing. Graduates are expected to work as medical doctors, nurses, medical technologists, government administrators, educators, and researchers.

    Educational Policy

    Medical services and researches should continue to explore the best treatments and solutions for individuals and society. Therefore, the School of Medicine and Medical Sciences aims to help students understand and solve various problems by themselves so that in the future, they are able to respond to all difficult questions in an adequate manner.

    Curriculum

    The School of Medicine offers a 6-year program, including courses in basic medicine, clinical clerkships, and introduction to medicine. After completion of this program, graduates qualify to take Japan’s National Examination for Medical Practitioners.
    The School of Nursing offers a 4-year program, including courses in basic subjects and specialized subjects related to humans, health, environment, and nursing. After completion of this program, graduates qualify to take Japan’s national nursing examination.
    The School of Medical Sciences offers a 4-year program, including courses in basic subjects and specialized subjects related to clinical examination, biotechnology, and basic medical research. After completion of this program, graduates qualify to take Japan’s national examination for clinical laboratory technicians.
