Undergraduate Entrance Examination Schedule

Entrance Examinations

* Applicants must submit test scores of Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU), administered by JASSO at the time of applying to sit for the Entrance Examination for International Students for the University of Tsukuba. You may use the results either from the June or November examination.

* TOEFL scores are also a selection criterion for entrance to the University of Tsukuba. Therefore, you must submit a copy of your certificate of results from this examination as well (students seeking admission to the Biological Sciences and Agrobiological Sciences courses may present their TOEIC scores).

Screening Methods
The candidates to be approved are decided on a written examination or practical examination (for the school of Health and Physical Education and the school of Arts), EJU scores and the submitted documents.
The school of Medicine and Medical Sciences sets two stage selections.
The successful candidates of first stage selection can go for second stage.

a) First Screening
Upon examination of the result scores above and of the submitted documents, the University decides the candidates approved in the first selection.

b) Second Screening
The final screening of the candidates are made based on a written examination or practical examination (for the School of Health and Physical Education and the School of Arts), an interview, and the result of the first selection.
