Cryogenics Division

The Cryogenics Division has two major missions. One is to support research and education in the university by supplying liquid helium (b.p.=4.2 K) and liquid nitrogen (b.p.=77 K) that are indispensable cryogen for advanced research in broad area. There is a large helium liquefier in the division and helium gas is used in a recycle system.
Another mission is to conduct research on low temperature. There are various cryogenic equipments, e.g. dilution refrigerators, high-field superconducting magnets, and SQUIDs. They are open to students and faculty members of the university. In addition, low-temperature research is conducted by the Cryogenics Division to improve itself as a research center.
