Engineering Workshop Division

The Engineering Workshop Division aims to support research activities and to build experimental equipment for students and faculty members of the University of Tsukuba.

The Division has two departments, including the Machine Tool Department and the Glass Tool Department. Staff at each department undertakes production of experimental equipment, or supply ones from existing stock. A workshop room is open to students and faculty members of the university who wish to make a piece of equipment by themselves. Although a qualification is required to use the room, they can receive the qualification after taking part in an annual safety training program.
