School of Medical Sciences

Medical science is a field of medicine in which the knowledge and technique obtained in basic medicine is applied to clinical or social medicine, in order to contribute to the advancement of health and the safety of the people around the world. During the four years of study, we offer a core curriculum of clinical laboratory medicine that allows the students to have the basic knowledge and skills and also to develop a sense of responsibility and mission as medical professionals.

Upon graduation, the students receive the degree of Bachelor of Medical Sciences and become eligible to apply for the National License Examination of Medical Technologists in Japan. Furthermore, the students may go to a graduate course, such as the Master's Program in the Frontier Medical Sciences of University of Tsukuba, to develop their carrier.

The field of medical science has considerably increased its importance these days in every aspect of medical research. We expect the prospective students to become advanced professionals capable of working in cutting-edge medicine or healthcare in the future.
