The 2nd Japan-Germany International Conference "Aging society with low birthrate and comprehensive policy for the family"

(2008.11.13-15)

Organizer: Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences

With "Family Day" (November 16) around the corner, the University of Tsukuba and the Japanese-German Center Berlin will hold a Japan-Germany international conference. In an aging society with low birthrate, it is necessary to develop comprehensive policy to support families with child-rearing and nursing care responsibilities. Under the basis of such awareness, as a memorial event of Germany Year in Japan 2005/2006, the conference will compare the various family supporting policies and aim to make concrete policy proposal about "the comprehensive policy for a family." At the same time, we aim to further develop the result of the 1st Japan-Germany international conference, held in cooperation with the research organizations in Germany.
Japanese-German simultaneous translation will be available during workshop and open symposium.
