| Speaker | Speaker: Ms. Kubo (Vice Director of the Long-Term Care Health Facility Are-teru Tsukuba, Manager of the Group Home Delfy) |
| Topic | Think about the Great East Earthquake from the experience of the Hanshin-Awaji earthquake |
| Outline | The Hanshin-Awaji earthquake occurred directly underneath the modern metropolis for the first time in Japan with an intensity of 6 (or 7 in some areas). It caused unprecedented damages, and 6434 lives were lost. In Osaka and Kobe areas, special nursing facilities for elderly people accepted elderly and other suffering people as regional base. The facilities with small damage played a role as a key-station to distribute relief supplies, and helped disaster victims. From the experience of working at the facility, a speaker will talk about the role of facilities on the meeting. Also, the topic how the rehabilitation facilities for elderly people and regional-based facilities responded to the Great East Earthquake will be talked. At the Study Meeting, we will have Ms. Kubo (Vice Director of the Long-Term Care Health Facility Are-teru Tsukuba, Manager of the Group Home Delfy) as a guest speaker to have a talk titled "Think about the Great East Earthquake from the experience of the Hanshin-Awaji earthquake." We look forward to having many participants. |
