Public Seminar "What is the Science and Technology Policy? -How it affects us?"

(2011.11.25)

Whether you like it or not, management of the funds and human resources is necessary to be a successful scientist. Especially in case you are a scientist working for a public research organization such as a university, it is more important to manage the funds and resources effectively. In such organizations, the "Science and Technology (Innovation) Policy", made by the government, determines the major research fields and the resource allocation for each research field. Accordingly, the scientists' research direction will strongly be influenced by the science and technology policy.
In this seminar, we will think about what the "Science and Technology Policy" is and how the policy affects research fields at a university. We look forward to many people taking part in the seminar, especially people who are interested in becoming a scientist.
