

The International Student Center of the University of Tsukuba was designate as "Kyoiku Kankei Kyodo Riyo Kyoten (an inter-university research institute)" by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), for five years from April 2011.
The center is now planning the following projects.
1: Prepare digital contents for e-learning to study Japanese language and the situation of Japan.
Develop a system to deliver the contents to universities and institutions of Japanese education in around the country.
2: Conduct a placement test for Japanese language course on web.
Develop a test to evaluate Japanese language proficiency before foreign students coming to Japan to study.
Conduct operation and maintenance of the delivering system of the test.
3: Hold a workshop to share information on the operation and maintenance of the e-learning system and the Japanese language proficiency test and make the best use of the e-learning contents.
A management meeting and a public symposium on the e-learning Japanese are scheduled on December 16-17 (Fri - Sat).
