The 2nd Workshop on Venture Support for 2009

The 2nd Workshop on Venture Support for 2009 was held at the Information Media Union in the Kasuga Area‚ Tsukuba Campus‚ on February 22‚ 2010.
This workshop has been held since 2008 as a part of the MEXT's Industry-Academia-Government Collaborative Strategic Development Project for individuals who will be staring venture business or service staff working for venture business.
Lectures given in the workshop included:
- Finance of venture business: Mr. Shinji Uga (CYBERDYNE Inc.)
- Japan Finance Corporation's support for small and medium-sized enterprises: Branch Office Manager Kentaro Hayashi (Japan Finance Corporation‚ Mito Branch)
- Outlook of university spin-offs looking from the perspective of venture capitals: President Tadashi Takiguchi (WERU INVESTMENR Co.‚ Ltd.)
The workshop was attended by nearly 30 participants‚ including staff‚ faculty members‚ students‚ and venture business people.
