Campaign for Eradicating Bicycle Parking on Braille Blocks

Campaign for Eradicating Bicycle Parking on Braille Blocks

(2010.11.05-11)

A campaign took place to eradicate bicycles parking on Braille blocks on the campus from November 5 to 11‚ 2010.

The initial campaign held in May was carried out mainly on the roads around 1C Building and 2B Building of the university. This second campaign was carried out on the roads around 2B building. These roads are part of commuter routes for many visually impaired students.

A support team for visually impaired students took the initiative in removing bicycles on the Braille blocks and handed out fliers asking to refrain from parking on the Braille blocks.

The number of bicycles parking on the Braille blocks has decreased‚ but still some bicycles are parked on them. Braille blocks are installed for the visually impaired. Please refrain from parking on the Braille blocks.
