World University Presidents' Summit 2012

World University Presidents' Summit 2012 was held under the auspices of the president of Mongolia at the Mongolian State University of Agriculture from July 8 to 11. Vice President Yutaka Tsujinaka participated in the summit from the University of Tsukuba.

The number of students from Mongolia is the eighth largest among the foreign students in the University of Tsukuba. The country also has the highest percentage of students who study abroad in its population.

An International exchange agreement has been concluded between the Mongolian State University of Agriculture and the University of Tsukuba (Graduate School of Life and Environmental Sciences) since 2009.

39 universities and institutions from 16 countries took part in the summit‚ which was held for the first time‚ and made presentations under the theme of "The University in the age of globalization - Challenge‚ Chance‚ and Experience".

Vice President Yutaka Tsujinaka made a presentation on the university's governance reform‚ the Leading Graduate Schools‚ Cooperative Graduate School System‚ Global 30‚ and the Special Zone of International Strategy.

He also made a courtesy visit to President Badarch Byambaa of the Mongolian State University of Agriculture‚ exchanged opinions to confirm the mutual collaborative relationships.
