Sichuan University of Culture and Arts Delegation from China Visits Tsukuba Campus

On April 19, a delegation from Sichuan University of Culture and Arts, led by Vice President DENG Hanyue, visited the Tsukuba Campus and met with Vice President/ Executive Director IKEDA Jun (Global Affairs), Executive Officer OHNEDA Osamu (Director General, Bureau of Global Initiatives), and Director SAKURAI Takeaki (Office of Global Initiatives).

The meeting began with a brief introduction of their university by the Sichuan University of Culture and Arts, followed by an explanation of the purpose behind their visit.

In addition, the delegation visited the School of Art and Design, where they engaged in discussions on future student exchanges with Professor KOYAMA Shinichi (Associate Dean for School of Art and Design) and Assistant Professor BAO Suomiya (Institute of Art and Design).

The group then visited the School of Medicine and Health Sciences'College of Nursing, where Professor OCHIAI Ryota, Associate Professor IWATA Hiroko and ITO Tomoko provided an overview of the curriculum and discussed the possibility of establishing a new faculty focused on medical and nursing care for the elderly.

We expect further exchanges and collaboration with Sichuan University of Culture and Arts in the future.
