|Title||Opportunity and Challenges of Introducing IB into Japanese Contexts|
|Abstract||Education in the twenty first century must develop student competencies and skills that will enable them to participate successfully in a changing and unpredictable globalized world.
Inquiry based learning, which is the foundation of IB pedagogy, has proved to be a sound pedagogy for this in international school contexts.
Implementing the programmes in a Japanese national setting presents new challenges as well as opportunities.
How can these challenges be addressed to provide maximum opportunities?
