中村潤児教授（筑波大学数理物質系）指導の数理物質科学研究科（博士前期課程）物性・分子工学専攻1年赤須雄太氏が，2012（平成24）年５月８日～５月11日に茨城県で開催された The 8th International Nanotechnology Conference on Communication and Cooperation (INC8) Japan Nano Day において「CO-tolerant PtRu electrocatalysts supported on nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes」と題した発表を行い，The INC8 Japan Nano Day Best Poster Award を受賞しました。
