筑波大学 国際統合睡眠医科学研究機構（WPI-IIIS）主任研究者の本城 咲季子 助教が、令和2年度 科学技術分野の文部科学大臣表彰で、『若手科学者賞』を受賞しました。若手科学者賞は、萌芽的な研究、独創的視点に立った研究等、高度な研究開発能力を示す顕著な研究業績をあげた若手研究者対象に贈られます。本城は「視床による睡眠覚醒制御に関する研究」での業績が高く評価されての受賞となりました。
Dr. Sakiko Honjoh, a principal investigator at International Institute for Integrative Sleep Medicine (WPI-IIIS) has been selected as a recipient of The Young Scientists’ Prize, The Commendation for Science and Technology, which is awarded to young scientists who have made outstanding achievements in germinating or innovative research. She received the prize in recognition of her research on sleep-wake control by the thalamus.
