Welcome Party for G30 Students Enrolled in September

A welcome party for newly enrolled students in the Global 30 (G30) program was held at the Community Plaza, Global Village, on September 11. It was planned by senior students in the G30 program. Provost Yoji Arakawa of the School of Life and Environmental Sciences and other faculty and staff engaged in the G30 undergraduate programs were also invited to the party.

A total of 45 international students were enrolled in the following Schools' programs: School of Social and International Studies (19), School of Life and Environmental Sciences (25), and School of Medicine and Medical Sciences (1).

They were from 18 different countries in Asia, Europe, North and Middle America, and Africa. Communicating in English, Japanese, or other languages, they enjoyed the multicultural atmosphere at the party, never running out of things to talk.

The entrance ceremony for the G30 students is scheduled on September 29. Their class will start on October 2.
