University of Tsukuba Soho-sai Festival Wins an Award at the University Festival Grand Prix 2017

An event of Gakuensai Grand Prix 2017 (University Festival Grand Prix 2017) was held under the auspices of Let's Enjoy Tokyo (jointly managed by Tokyo Metro Co., Ltd. and Gurunavi, Inc.). A total of 110 universities in the Tokyo metropolitan area took part in the event.
From among then, the 43rd University of Tsukuba Soho-sai Festival won the Chiiki Kassei Kikaku Award (award for revitalizing the local community). The university's festival was highly evaluated for its collaboration events with Tsukuba City and another event that served visitors Japanese sake and wine originating in Ibaraki Prefecture.


The award ceremony was held at Tokyo International Forum on December 20, 2017. Members of the University Soho-sai Festival Committee members attended the ceremony to receive the award.


In addition, they received a commemorative gift and flowers from Gurunavi, Inc. on January 31.
