Leader Training for the Student Groups of Extracurricular Activities for AY 2018

A leader training for the student groups of extracurricular activities was held at the National Akagi Youth Friendship Center on December 1 and 2. Around 220 students from 137 organizations on extracurricular activities of the University of Tsukuba participated in the training.


This training session was hosted by the Student Support Office, and voluntary planned and managed by the representatives from three student associations (San-Kei) which consist of the University of Tsukuba Cultural Circles Federation, University of Tsukuba Athletic Department, and Artistic Circles Union University of Tsukuba and has continued for a period of 43 years. It aims for the leaders of each club and circle of next year to enhance their qualities and abilities.


Under the theme of "Coexistence", Professor Akihiro Sakamoto, Faculty of Health and Sport Sciences gave a seminar on "Team Work", building effective clubs and circles; and a unique role play and a workshop designed by the San-Kei took place. New leaders could learn the ways of each club and circle, and develop a mental attitude as leader.
