President Nagata attended the 4th University of Tsukuba Taiwan Alumni Association Annual General Meeting

The 4th University of Tsukuba Taiwan Alumni Association (UTHAA) Annual General Meeting was held on March 16 in Taipei (Taiwan). President Kyosuke Nagata, Vice President BENTON Caroline F. (Global Affairs), Vice President Yasunori Kanaho (Collaborative Research) and others from the University of Tsukuba attended.


At the opening, followed by the addresses of President Lin Hua-Wei and Honorary President Hsu Shui-teh of UTHAA, President Nagata expressed his gratitude to a close cooperative partnership between UTHAA and the University of Tsukuba, and also wished for our further success.


In the meeting, Vice President Kanaho called for cooperation in funds to mark the 50th anniversary of our school. Next, Professor Hiroshi Watanabe of National Chiao Tung University, a graduate of the University of Tsukuba and Mr. Chung You-Hui who was an international student of the University of Tsukuba and now is a printmaker gave a presentation on memories from the University of Tsukuba and their activities which attracted attendees.


Prior to the meeting, an enrollment and study abroad orientation hosted by the University of Tsukuba Taiwan Office (Director: Associate Professor Ryosuke Ohniwa) was held and there were many students taking note of the explanation on our university by Ms. Lin Chia-Yao, Taiwan Office staff.


For the party after the meeting, alumni association members, Taiwanese students who have experienced studying in the University of Tsukuba and University of Tsukuba students currently learning in Taiwan got together in a relaxed mood, they should be expected to build a new network.
