Delegation from National Chiayi University in Taiwan visits President Nagata

President Chyung Ay and Vice President Kuang-Liang Huang of National Chiayi University made a courtesy visit to President Kyosuke Nagata and Vice President BENTON Caroline F. (Global Affairs) on June 20, 2019.


National Chiayi University has conducted excellent research especially in the field of agriculture and forestry, eyeing the possibility of collaborative research with our university, they first toured the T-PIRC Farm in the Tsukuba-Plant Innovation Research Center (T-PIRC). At the farm, Associate Professor Tofael Ahamed of the Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences introduced facilities and equipment, then they had a lively question and answer session.


After the tour, in the meeting with President Nagata, T-PIRC Director Hiroshi Ezura introduced our cutting-edge research on smart agriculture and we talked about promoting future exchanges. Following the faculty-level agreement in the Faculty of Human Sciences, National Chiayi University and our university are expected to promote collaboration in agriculture and forestry.
