The 7th round-table meeting with the Mayor of Tsukuba and students at the University of Tsukuba was held on September 30. A total of 33 students including representatives of ZENDAIKAI (Students' Representative Council) and undergraduate and graduate students.

It started with greetings delivered by the city officials and the chair of ZENDAIKAI, followed by a presentation given by Mr. Tatsuo Igarashi, Mayor of Tsukuba City. Subsequently, they exchanged opinions based on questions from Tatsuo Igarashi Mayor first and from the university students later. In the presentation, Mr. Igarashi talked about SDG initiatives in Tsukuba City and the Tsukuba City Future Framework with slides, and in the exchange session, he asked students about their intention to stay living in Tsukuba City, and presented measures of Tsukuba City in the future related to the answers from students. In the latter exchange session, there were many questions from students such as issues on public education in Tsukuba, next year's implementation plan for the Tsukuba City Future Framework and the dilemma between public policy and citizens. At the end of the meeting, all the attendees took a commemorative photo.

The round-table meeting with the Mayor, which was held for the 7th time, provided a precious opportunity for students at the University of Tsukuba to have a discussion with the Mayor, so the University of Tsukuba will hold it next year and beyond.
