Staff Development Seminar "International Strategy of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University" for AY 2019

A seminar titled "International Strategy of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University" was delivered for University of Tsukuba staff at a staff development seminar on December 11. The Global Commons invited Senior Lecturer Borankulova Samal from the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University (KazNU), which concluded a Campus-in-Campus (CiC) partnership agreement with the University of Tsukuba in November. She gave a lecture on the initiatives of KazNU for internationalization promotion, such as enriching English Programs and measures to climb in the world university rankings.

Showing promotion videos for Kazakhstan and KazNU at the seminar, there was a good opportunity to deepening their understanding of Kazakhstan for all attendees. At the end of the seminar, a question and answer session was active and their comments were as follows: "I learned well that KazNU is leading the internationalization of the university", "It was a great opportunity to know Kazakhstan and KazNU" and "I'm very happy to hear the precious story of Kazakhstan and KazNU". To promote the concept of internationalization as a part of everyday life, the Global Commons will continue to take measures for the cultivation of global human resources.
