President's Message to new students and current students who cannot enter Japan

Dear new students,

Congratulations on passing the entrance examination.
I am NAGATA Kyosuke, President of the University of Tsukuba.

Some of the students are worried about not being able to come to Japan in April. For students who have completed the admission procedures, please be rest assured that you will be considered as enrolled at the University of Tsukuba even if you cannot come to Japan in April. From now on, depending on how long the new coronavirus infection will last, the University of Tsukuba is considering countermeasures to minimize the risk and disadvantages to all students. We will inform you again after the decision has been made. We appreciate your patience.

In addition, please be sure to contact the corresponding academic service office if there is any modification of the contact information in the admission procedure documents.

Many current students have been in touch with their academic advisors and the corresponding academic service office. If you are unable to come to Japan or have not contacted them yet, please contact your academic advisor and the corresponding academic service office as soon as possible.
In regard to special measures for studying, we are trying our best to adopt relevant countermeasures applicable to all students.
