To all New Students(Freshmen)(Updated May 12, 2020)

Congratulations on your entrance to the University!

As already posted on our website, the academic calendar for 2020 (Academic Year) was changed to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infections, and the spring semester will be started on April 27 (Monday).

As previously announced, the University of Tsukuba has set a period from April 6 to the beginning of the classes, as a period that prepare for the class while observing your health at the places where students can commute to school.

Please read the following notice carefully and spend the period meaningfully until the class starts.

In order to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection, at least during the spring semester, the schedules of the class and others will be changed in various ways.

Information in some materials distributed has not been changed yet. Therefore, please pay attention to be familiar with the latest information from the university.

The above notice was posted on March 27.

However, based on the fact that the spread of infections in the Tokyo metropolitan area is not stopping, it has been determined that the University must take emergency measures.

Therefore, we will change our policy on April 6 and after. For details, please refer to "1) How to spend until the start of class."
