Research and education consortium agreement between National Cheng Kung University and the University of Tsukuba

An online signing ceremony was held to conclude the agreement on a consortium for research and education between National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) and the University of Tsukuba at the main online session of the Tsukuba Global Science Week (TGSW) 2020 on September 28, 2020.


The ceremony was moderated by Specially Appointed Professor KIJIMA Joji of the Office of Global Initiatives. In attendance were Professor Ricky Wen-Kuei Chuang, Associate Vice President for International Affairs and Director of International Relations Division, Department of Electrical Engineering, Professor Hsiao-Wen Wang, Vice President for International Affairs, Department of Hydraulic and Ocean Engineering and Professor Wen-Che Hou, Director of Project Administration and Assessment Division, Office of R&D, Department of Environmental Engineering for NCKU, and Vice President for Global Affairs BENTON Caroline F., Executive Officer OHNEDA Osamu, Director of the Office of Global Initiatives and Professor YAMANAKA Toshimasa of the Faculty of Art and Design for the University of Tsukuba.


Regarding the collaboration with NCKU, we have a track record of exchanges through the good offices of Associate Professor OHNIWA Ryosuke of the Faculty of Medicine. Taking the conclusion of this agreement as an opportunity, the two universities are expected to strengthen relations and promote Taiwan research.
