APEC-Tsukuba International Conference XV and SEAMEO-The University of Tsukuba Symposium IX
APEC-Tsukuba International Conference XV (the "APEC Conference") was held on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, and SEAMEO-The University of Tsukuba Symposium IX (the "SEAMEO Symposium") was held on Thursday, February 11, 2021, online, hosted by the Center for Research on International Cooperation in Educational Development (CRICED, Director: Prof. ISODA Masami, Faculty of Human Sciences, University of Tsukuba).
There were 798 participants in the APEC Conference and 2,107 in the SEAMEO Symposium from around the world, mainly from Southeast Asia. After welcome remarks by Dr. Benton Caroline Fern, Vice President and Executive Director for Global Affairs, keynote speeches were given and a lively question and answer session with the participants moderated by Dr. NOMURA Nakao (Regional Director for Southeast Asia and Taiwan Offices, Associate Professor of Faculty of Life and Environmental Sciences, University of Tsukuba) and co-organizers was held.
