SAKURA SCIENCE High School Program Online University Visit - University of Tsukuba

The University of Tsukuba and the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) co-hosted the "SAKURA SCIENCE High School Program Online University Visit - University of Tsukuba " on June 19, 2021.


The theme of this event was "Philosophy meets Technology." President Nagata and Vice-President Benton of the University of Tsukuba greeted the audience.
Special talks were given by Assistant Professor Osawa Hirotaka (Faculty of Engineering, Information and Systems), Professor Sakurai Takeaki (Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences), and Assistant Professor Doi Hiroto (Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences) about their research and laboratories.
University of Tsukuba students talked about campus life and shared their research and academic experiences to high school students from around the world who are considering studying abroad in the future. The event was a great success, attracting many viewers, mainly from Southeast Asia.
