University of Tsukuba to Establish Branch Campus in Malaysia

On March 14, 2023, Y.B. Dato'Seri Haji Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin, Minister of Higher Education of the Government of Malaysia and H.E. Ambassador TAKAHASHI Katsuhiko representing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) regarding the establishment of a branch campus of the University of Tsukuba in Malaysia.


Prof. Dr. TSUJIMURA Maki, Director of Branch Campus Preparation Office, attended the signing ceremony as a witness.
If all goes well after the various procedures related to the establishment approval by both Japanese and Malaysian governments, the earliest possible timing of the opening of the branch campus will be September 2024.
