CRICED Launches a Project to Revise Chilean National Textbooks with the University of Chile

On May 2, 2023, Center for Research on International Cooperation in Educational Development (CRICED) began to work on the revision of the Chilean national math textbook Sumo Primero with the Mathematics Education Group of the Center for Mathematical Modeling (CMM), Faculty of Physics and Mathematics (FCFM) of the University of Chile, our partner university. This project is promoted by the Universidad de Chile under the Chilean Ministry of Education.

The CMM Mathematics Education Group, which is driving the revision, will employ 20 full and part time researchers under the direction of mathematician Professor Salomé Martínez, with a view to starting use in 2024. Professor ISODA Masami, CRICED Center Director (Institute of Human Sciences), will contribute to this revision as the original author of the English version.
