President NAGATA Visits Uzbekistan

On September 2 to 4, 2023, President NAGATA Kyosuke led a university delegation to Uzbekistan.

On the first day, the delegation held meetings with Rector Khalmuradov of Samarkand State University, Rector Safoev of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Rector Tuxtasinov of Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages, Vice Rector Eltazarov of the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, and Vice Governor Ochilov of the Samarkand regional government. In the meetings, they exchanged opinions with the aim of enhancing educational and research collaboration.

On September 4, President NAGATA participated in the entrance ceremony of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, where he gave a congratulatory address to the university's new students. He later attended the international conference "Sustainable Development in Central Asia" held at the same university, where he made the opening remarks addressing the importance of achieving the SDGs and the significance of academic efforts to build a sustainable society in Central Asia.

They eagerly anticipate deepening exchanges and fostering greater cooperation between Uzbekistan and the University of Tsukuba in the future.
