Opening Ceremony for Intensive Japanese Course for Monbukagakusho Scholarship Students in October 2023

On October 3, the opening ceremony for the Intensive Japanese Course for the Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho) Scholarship Students who entered the University of Tsukuba in October of 2023 was held at the University of Tsukuba Center for Education of Global Communication (CEGLOC). Students who take the course and CEGLOC staff participated in the ceremony.

At the opening ceremony, Professor ONO Masaki of the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences (Director of CEGLOC) gave a speech of encouragement.

There are 11 international students in the October 2023 term. They will become familiar with the Japanese language and culture and, at the same time, pursue their research.

The students of the Intensive Japanese Course who entered the university in October 2023 are from the following nations:

Egypt, Kenya, Colombia, India (Two students), Indonesia, Nigeria, Mexico, Rwanda, Tonga, and Peru (A total of 11 students)
