President NAGATA Welcomes Delegation from France's National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS)

On December 1, 2023, Dr. Jacques Maddaluno, Director of the Chemistry Department, and Dr. Alexandre Legris, Deputy Director, of the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) visited the University of Tsukuba. They engaged in discussions with President NAGATA and Vice President SHIGETA (Research) aimed at strengthening the partnership between Japan and France, particularly in the fields of chemistry and materials science, in addition to the ongoing collaborative research in semiconductor technology conducted at J-FAST, the CNRS overseas research laboratories situated at the University of Tsukuba.

Before the meeting, they were introduced to research in the fields of chemistry and materials science at the Institute of Pure and Applied Sciences. Subsequently, they exchanged views with President NAGATA and Vice President SHIGETA to promote collaborative research in these fields. Looking forward, we anticipate continued collaboration between CNRS and our university.
