President NAGATA Meets with Mr. MEREDOV, Deputy Chair of the Cabinet of Ministers, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan

On January 22, 2024, President NAGATA Kyosuke met with H. E. Mr. Rashid MEREDOV, Deputy Chair of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, who was visiting Japan. During the meeting, they exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between Turkmenistan and the University of Tsukuba.

The following day, January 23, President NAGATA received a courtesy visit from Mr. Gurbanmyrat MEZILOV, Rector of Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan, and Mr. Jumamyrat GURBANGELDIYEV, Rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, at the University of Tsukuba.

Afterwards, a book launch ceremony was held at the University Hall of the University of Tsukuba to commemorate the publication of the Japanese edition of the book by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chair of the Halk Maslakhaty, Gurbanguly BERDIMUHAMEDOV, titled "Continuation of the Meaning of My Life."

During the ceremony, a student from our College of Mathematics recited a Turkmen poem written by the author of the book, demonstrating his language skills acquired by taking advantage of the low barriers between various educational organizations in the educational programs of the University of Tsukuba.

Moving forward, further cooperation between Turkmen institutions and our university is expected.
