Minister of the Embassy of Ghana in Japan Visits President NAGATA

On February 9, 2024, Mr. Daniel O. Okaiteye, Minister of the Embassy of Ghana in Japan, visited and held a meeting with President NAGATA Kyosuke, Vice President IKEDA Jun (Global Affairs), Executive Officer OHNEDA Osamu (Director-General, Bureau of Global Initiatives), Director SAKURAI Takeaki, and Prof. MORIO Takahiro of the Office of Global Initiatives.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on further collaboration between Ghanaian institution and our university.

Following the meeting, Minister Okaiteye attended a completion ceremony for the JST Sakura Science Program held by the University of Tsukuba's Institute of Medicine. The program, titled "Experiential exchange program to learn about Japan's cutting-edge technology in nursing science with a focus on maternal and child health care", was conducted by Associate Prof. IWATA Hiroko (Institute of Medicine) and involved inviting six university students from Ghana. At the ceremony, the Minister offered warm words to the students who completed the program and engaged in conversation with them.

Further exchanges and collaboration are highly anticipated in the future.
