INSA and Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France Visits Our Tsukuba Campus from France

On April 24, Professor Armel de la Bourdonnaye, Director of INSA Hauts-de-France, visited our Tsukuba Campus and met with Vice President and Executive Director (International Affairs) IKEDA Jun, Executive Officer OHNEDA Osamu (Director General, Bureau of Global Initiatives), Director SAKURAI Takeaki (Office of Global Initiatives), Dean SUZUKI Kenji (Institute of Systems and Information Engineering), and Professor ITOH Makoto, Institute of Systems and Information Engineering.

During the discussion, Vice President IKEDA Jun first gave an overview of our university, after which Professor Armel de la Bourdonnaye explained the purpose of their visit and expressed their wish to expand the exchange between the University of Tsukuba and the Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France, which is currently focused on the field of systems and information engineering, to other fields.
After the meeting with Vice President IKEDA and others, the delegation had a discussion with faculty members from the Institute of Business Sciences, Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Institute of Art and Design. They exchanged views on the possibility of fostering new collaborations in various fields.
Moving forward, further collaborations between the INSA and Université Polytechnique Hauts-de-France and our university are expected.
