IIT Bombay Leaders Visit President Nagata

On April 16, 2025, Professor Shireesh B. Kedare, Director of the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB), and Professor Milind Atrey, Deputy Director, paid a visit to the University of Tsukuba. President NAGATA Kyosuke warmly welcomed them, along with Professor OHNEDA Osamu, Vice President for Global Affairs; Professor UEDONO Akira from the Institute of Pure and Applied Sciences; and Executive Officer SAKURAI Takeaki, responsible for Research Management.
The University of Tsukuba and IITB have established a foundation for robust collaboration through a previously signed Letter of Intent (LOI) and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) focused on enhancing higher education and academic research partnerships. During this meeting, the distinguished guests and University representatives engaged in productive discussions on how to further cultivate their relationship. This included exploring opportunities within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT)-supported "Multicultural Campus Project Toward Social Impact" initiative and other potential programs. The exchange of ideas underscored a mutual commitment to expanding impactful collaborations between the two institutions.
