On February 11, President NAGATA Kyosuke, Vice President for Global Affairs OHNEDA Osamu, and Assistant Professor FUKUSHIGE Mizuho visited Turkey.

The delegation first visited Boğaziçi University, where they met with Vice President Fatih Usluer and other representatives to exchange views on future collaboration, including Japanese language education and academic cooperation in advanced research fields. They also toured major research facilities, including the Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute (KOERI), the Life Sciences and Technologies Application and Research Center (LifeSci), and the Center for Targeted Therapy Technologies (CT³), and held discussions with researchers at each institution.

The delegation then visited the Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University, where they met with Provost MIHARA Hisakazu to discuss the establishment of an inter-university exchange agreement and future frameworks for cooperation.

The visit is expected to further strengthen academic exchange and collaboration between the University of Tsukuba and both Boğaziçi University and the Turkish-Japanese Science and Technology University.
