TUAN in Indonesia Was Held

On September 2, TUAN in Indonesia was held at Universitas Indonesia, with the attendance of President NAGATA Kyosuke, Executive Director and Provost KATO Mitsuyasu, and Vice President for Global Affairs OHNEDA Osamu, among others.

TUAN (Tsukuba Universal Alumni Network) is an alumni association network established in October 2023 that connects University of Tsukuba with overseas alumni organizations and alumni (including Japanese).

President NAGATA provided an update on TUAN's activities and expressed his hope that alumni would continue to stay connected with University of Tsukuba after graduation through the information and updates shared by TUAN.

Following this, each alum had the opportunity to introduce themselves. As they reminisced on their student days, they shared their current affiliations, activities, and recent updates, while also reflecting on the paths they have taken since graduating from the University of Tsukuba.

The gathering remained warm and relaxed throughout, creating a welcoming, close-knit atmosphere, much like old friends coming together again. The event concluded with remarks from Executive Director and Provost KATO on prospects for strengthening future exchanges with Indonesia. After approximately one hour, TUAN in Indonesia came to a successful close, bringing the gathering to a lively and memorable conclusion.

TUAN alumni gatherings are planned to be held in various countries around the world in the future.
