Earning my PhD in Public Health equipped me with a profound understanding of evidence-based research and analytical methodology. I actively apply these rigorous standards today in my role as a university psychology lecturer in Peru, where I mentor the next generation of professionals in the field. Tsukuba taught me how to approach complex human health and behavior challenges with scientific discipline.

Beyond the academic excellence, living in Japan deeply enriched my personal life. The cultural immersion sparked a lasting appreciation for Japanese traditions, prompting me to explore Japanese music through singing their songs in events and contests as a fulfilling personal passion alongside my academic pursuits. My Fondest Memories as a Student

My fondest memories at the University of Tsukuba revolve around the incredible people I met and the strong sense of community we built. While navigating the rigorous demands of my PhD in Public Health, I was fortunate to find wonderful friends away from home within the Latin American student community. We gathered often to celebrate birthdays, share traditional food during the holidays, and provide unconditional mutual support.

Equally important were the kind Japanese friends and lab members, and professors like Tamiya sensei, whom I met along the way. They were incredibly supportive, helping me adjust to daily life, patiently guiding me, and welcoming me with open arms. From the beautiful changes of seasons on campus to these deep interpersonal connections, Tsukuba was not just a place of academic excellence, but a true home where lifelong friendships were forged.
