Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony / Graduate School Commencement Ceremony for AY2021 (Last Updated March 15, 2022)

Undergraduate and Graduate School Commencement Ceremonies for AY2021 will be held as below.

Please take note that depending on the situation of the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19), changes may be made to how the ceremonies will be held.



1 Date: Friday, March 25, 2022

Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony

1st Session (9:30~10:15)
* Doors to the venue will open 40 minutes before the start of each ceremony.

- Acupuncture and Physical Therapy Teacher Training School

2nd Session (11:30~12:15)
* Doors to the venue will open 40 minutes before the start of each ceremony.

- School of Life and Environmental Sciences
- School of Informatics
- School of Medicine and Medical Sciences
- School of Physical Education, Health and Sport Sciences
- School of Art and Design

Graduate School Commencement Ceremony

1st Session (13:30~14:15)
* Doors to the venue will open 40 minutes before the start of each ceremony.

- Graduate School of Business Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences
- Graduate School of Comprehensive Human Sciences
- Master's Program in Education
- Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences

2nd Session (15:30~16:15)
* Doors to the venue will open 40 minutes before the start of each ceremony.

- Graduate School of Systems and Information Engineering
- School of Integrative and Global Majors


2 Venue: University Hall (Auditorium, etc.), University of Tsukuba

3 Note: 

  • - As part of the protective measures against COVID-19, only graduating students are invited to attend the ceremonies. Family members are welcomed to watch the ceremonies live online.
    * The ceremonies will be live-streamed for family members to watch. (There is no viewing room on campus.)
     Please note that we will be filming the event, including the audience, during the live stream.
  • - Those who cannot be accommodated at the main venue (Auditorium) due to limited seating capacity will be guided to another room (Hall, etc.) for watching the ceremony via live broadcast.
  • - Please be sure to wear a mask in the venue. Also, please follow the instructions by the staff and sit to leave one seat between you and the next person.
  • - For the last 14 days prior to the day of the ceremony, please keep a record of your own health observations and take care of your physical condition.
    Example of the Health Observation Report (EXCEL)
    If, on the day of the ceremony, you have a fever or respiratory symptoms, or otherwise feel unwell, please refrain from attending. Also, please install the COVID-19 Contact-Confirming application (COCOA).

Notice to Current Students

Due to the Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony / Graduate School Commencement Ceremony for AY2021 to be held on March 25, 2022, the area around the University Hall will be very crowded with graduates and postgraduates, so we ask that current students refrain from stopping by the University Hall.
