Acupuncture and Physical Therapy Teacher Training School

Our school name, "Physical Therapy", means a part of oriental medical therapies including acupuncture, moxibustion, "ANMA" massage (Japanese traditional massage) and "SIATSU" (finger pressure therapy). It is different from physiotherapy in rehabilitation.

Our mission is to train teachers of the physical therapy in charge of the vocational course of the school for the visually impaired, and to conduct basic and clinical research on the physical therapy. Our school is the only school for physical therapy teacher training designated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in Japan.

Acupuncture and Moxibustion Clinic

Licensed teachers and students provide acupuncture and moxibustion therapy for patients who have symptom of pain in muscles and joints, including back pain, frozen shoulder, knee pain. However, since the physical therapy is not a medical treatment, it isn't covered by public health insurance.
Open from 8:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekdays except Wednesday. Closed on Wednesday, Saturdays, Sundays, National Holidays, and the New Year's holiday
